Fluid Surface
You can use the Fluid Surface extension to simulate objects in a fluid, be it water or even wind.
To create a Fluid Surface:
- Select Dynamics in the Toolbox.
- Double-click Fluid Surface to add it to the scene or mechanism.
- Configure the following fields in the Properties panel.
- Inputs
- Fluid Density: Sets the density of the fluid (in kg/m3).
- Fluid Velocity: Sets the velocity of the fluid along the three axes (in m/s).
- Fluid Elevation: Sets the elevation of the fluid (in meters).
- Parameters
- Fluid Surface Type: There are two types of fluid surfaces you can select:
- Planar: The planar surface is defined by a plane along the gravity axis; useful for creating an ocean or wind.
- Mesh UVÂ Grid: Selecting this option reveals another field, Collision Geometry, where you can select a Collision Geometry. Its triangle mesh defines the fluid surface; useful for creating lakes or rivers.
